Susan R. Docherty, 91, of Marietta, returned to the Lord July 10, 2012. Mrs. Docherty was born in New York City, raised in Fort Montgomery, NY and previously resided in Cold Spring on Hudson, NY. She was a member of the Chattahoochee Garden Club, the Atlanta Country Club and St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Mrs. Docherty was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Francis Docherty and is survived by her son, Robert Francis Docherty, Jr. and his wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Caitlin and Robert; sisters, Ann Wannamaker, Therese Rauner; and many nieces and nephews. She was also blessed to have many wonderful friends and neighbors. She will be forever in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital Mercy Foundation, 5665 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30342. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church.
