

Thomas C. Bianco, 75, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on September 4, 2014 after a long illness. Tom was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Peter B. Bianco and Jean M. Bianco and was reared in Peoria, Illinois. He graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1960 with a B.S. in Biology/Chemistry and obtained a Masters in Physiology at the University of Illinois in 1962. His experience as a Peoria County Sheriff's Deputy sparked his interest in the law. He attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago, graduating from Massey Law College in Atlanta after moving his young family here. He co-authored a series of books on legal principles published by Holt, Rinehart, & Winston.
Tom practiced law in Atlanta in the Healey Building from 1970 to 1984. Mixing his compassion for his clients and his sharp intellect with a dose of fun, Tom enriched the atmosphere of many courtrooms. In recent years, Tom parlayed his love of Do-It-Yourself projects into his work as an associate at the Home Depot. He loved the supportive family environment found at the Roswell store. His optimism and willingness to help others endeared him to many.
Tom possessed a unique blend of analytical skills, creativity and humor which he brought to every endeavor. He was a skilled pianist and his mastery of classical and modern pieces enlivened many gatherings. He enjoyed travel, especially for the opportunity to learn about local people and their customs. His family will treasure his beautiful photographs and his insightful, humorous commentary of these adventures.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judee A. Bianco, their three children, Maria Bianco Golick (Rich), Thomas P. Bianco, Michelle Bianco White (Barry); six grandchildren, Marshall and Davis Golick, Kate and Jack Bianco, Will and Henry White; his brother, Ted Bianco (Helene), sister Beth Lucas (Scott); nieces and nephews David Bianco (Sandy), Julie Bianco Novak (Mark), Jennifer Lucas; great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, in the St. Mary’s Chapel, 4465 Northside Drive, NW Atlanta, GA 30327, Msgr. Edward J. Dillon officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service in the Narthex outside the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Homer Fund by visiting their website at thdhomerfund.org.
The Fund provides support to Home Depot Associates in crisis through direct and matching grant programs.
