

Tillie Womack Hindman, 92 of Marietta and originally from Sandy Springs, died November 18, 2010. Mrs. Hindman was one of the founding directors for Sandy Springs Plaza, Inc., was on the board of trustees of the Sandy Springs Historical Trust Foundation and a member of the Cobb EMC Task Force. Mrs. Hindman was also a longtime member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Burdett Womack and Tilly Ebenezer Womack; brother, Maurice Burdett Womack; and sister-in-law, Katherine Moore Womack. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James G. Hindman; daughters, Carol Hindman Butler and her husband Jeffrey, Kathy Hindman Sparkman and her husband Ned; grandchildren, Matthew R.H. Sparkman, Amanda Katherine Sparkman; nephews, Maurice Burdett Womack, Jr., Larry Eugene Womack, Ronald Clyde Womack, John Wayne Womack; and many great and great great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or to The Music Ministry at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11 o’clock in the chapel of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. Randy Mickler officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
