Timothy was born on May 1, 1958, in Beaumont, Texas, to Linton Anthony and Gloria Jane (Richard) Ranson. At the age of four, his family relocated to Springfield, Massachusetts, where he would go on to graduate from Cathedral High School. Following his graduation, Timothy enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and he was stationed in Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Upon completing his service to the nation, he pursued a successful career in transportation and later ventured into real estate as an investor and entrepreneur.
On May 11, 1991, Timothy married the love of his life, Deborah Friar, originally of Oakland, California. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Timothy enjoyed traveling the country with his brothers on his cherished Harley-Davidson. His passion for college and professional sports was equally strong, and he faithfully supported the Golden State Warriors, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Each year, Timothy looked forward to the family’s reunion and camping weekend at Camp Holy Cross in Goshen, Massachusetts. Timothy found joy in the peace and tranquility of the ocean, frequently vacationing with his family at coastal destinations.
He was deeply loved by his family and as the eldest sibling, Tim was always there to protect and provide valuable advice. As a father, he was a source of strength and wisdom, and as a husband, he was Deborah's steadfast and loving partner.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Linton, his mother, Gloria, and his brother, Daniel. He leaves behind Deborah, his wife of 33 years; his children, Tim, Aaron, Timisha, and Marlin (Chris); his grandchildren, Samara, Ava, Ayden, and Kyonjrue; his siblings, Marcia (Antonio), Charlotte, Marie, Anthony, and Gloria Lynn; in-laws, Celestine (Lloyd), Jack, Bonnie, Lorenzo (Holly), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and friends who loved him dearly.
