“Vic” spent most of his life in the greater Detroit area, with many a summer on Cass Lake. He thrived as an accomplished life insurance agent with Northwestern Mutual for 39 years, eventually relocating to South Florida and ending up in the Atlanta area where he proudly watched his family grow. Vic loved to sing. In his early years, he sang in the Princeton Trio with his brothers, and later taught himself piano to sing with friends and family. Nothing made him happier than to spend time with family. His most cherished role was as “Popsie” to his granddaughters. In spite of Alzheimer’s Disease, he never forgot his family. He was deeply loved and honored.
Vic is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Angela Stern; daughters: Lisa Stern, Dana Stern and their mother, Sylvia; daughter, Jessica Butera (Ben); daughter, Gabrielle Stern (Christian Gomez); granddaughters, Olivia and Sunny Butera; brother, Mark Stern (Bev); and sister-in-law, Martha Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Blanche, sister Carol and brother Gary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be given to the Alzheimer’s Association – Georgia Chapter. https://www.alz.org/georgia (Please earmark for GA Chapter.)
