Virginia B. Alexander, 88, of Marietta, died August 26, 2016. Mrs. Alexander was an active member of Mount Paran North Church of God where she was active in the Widow’s Club and Legacy Club. She was also a member of The Eastern Star. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, William Harry Alexander; brother, Douglas H. Beard; and sister, Margaret Sue Peterson. Survivors include her daughters, Virginia Diane Colvin, Ginger Maria Dishinger; son, William Harry Alexander, Jr.; grandchildren, Robert E. Colvin, III, John Alexander Colvin, Virginia Lane Colvin, Danielle A. Dishinger, Alexander D. Dishinger, William H. Alexander, III; and brother, William T. Beard. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
