

Virginia Fain Wooten, an Atlanta native, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Friday, the 3rd of May 2013. Mrs. Wooten attended Brown Junior High and Commercial High School. She and her husband, Jim Wooten of 58 years, lived in the Atlanta area their entire lives…..West End, Cascade Heights, Dunwoody, East Cobb and Sandy Springs. Mr. Wooten passed away in 1996. Mrs. Wooten was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved the Lord and will be missed greatly by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Jenny Fain and brother, Robert Fain. Mrs. Wooten is survived by her two daughters, Jan Benfield (Ben), Judy Brooks (Jim); grandchildren, Jennifer Brooks (Beth Anne Higgins-Brooks), Berlin Benfield (Vera) their daughters, Rebecca and Allison of Grapepvine, TX and George Benfield (Ann), their children, Baker and Emery of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren, Ezra, Jaden, and Zion Higgins-Brooks; sister, Sara Fain Timpone of Gainesville, GA, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Lynne Fielding Baker. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, the 6th of May at two o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel with Dr. G. Gil Watson officiating. A private family interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and many friends from Mt. Vernon Towers for their love and support during the last three years.
