Wilbur Chester “Bill” Knight, 85, of Atlanta, died peacefully at home on February 7, 2017. Bill was a true Atlanta boy and attended Morningside Elementary, North Fulton High School and the University of Georgia where he was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity, and later a member of the Buckhead Boys Club. Bill was a loving and devout husband to Marjorie, his wife of 42 years. They enjoyed traveling the world and shared a lifetime of happiness. Bill is survived by his wife, Marjorie W. Knight, sister and brother in law, Ruth and John Skogstad, nephew John Skogstad, Jr., niece Kristen Skogstad Sodemann, cousin Lane Bergstrom, brother in law and sister in law Tucker and Donna Williams and nephews Mark, David, Chris and Bryant Williams. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11 o'clock with the family receiving friends at 10 o'clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
