Agnes Louise "Louie" Allen, a cherished resident of Leesburg, FL, passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, on June 21, 1954, Louise brought joy and love to all those she encountered.
Louise, known affectionately as "Louie," graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando, FL, in 1972. She found her lifelong partner in Bill Allen, whom she married on September 11, 1976. Bill's passing on August 22, 2021, left a deep void in Louise's heart that could never be filled.
One of Louise's greatest passions was creating handmade gifts for her family. Her grandchildren were the recipients of her intricate hand-stitched Christmas stockings, quilts, and cross-stitch artwork, each imbued with her love and care. Her artistic talents and dedication to crafting beautiful keepsakes will be treasured for generations to come.
Louise's love for the water was evident in her dedication to teaching her grandchildren, nieces and nephews how to swim and sharing her passion for the pool with them. Whether in the kitchen preparing elaborate dishes during family gatherings or in the pool with the little ones, Louise spread joy, warmth, and laughter wherever she went. Her gatherings were second to none.
As a member of the YMCA in Tavares, Louise formed deep and lasting friendships through her participation in exercise classes, lunches with friends, and hosting events at her home. Her generosity and welcoming spirit endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Louise is survived by her children, Michele Allen of Winter Haven, FL; Bill Allen of Orange City, FL; James Allen of DeBary, FL; Charles Allen of DeBary, FL; her grandchildren, Nathan Allen, James Gonzalez, William Allen, Robert Allen, and Mackenzie Mizell; her great-grandchildren, Ramesses Nixon and Jaxon Gonzalez; and her brother, Albert Leigh Bint.
A Celebration of Life to honor the legacy of Agnes Louise Allen will be held on August 10th at 10:00 AM at Baldwin Fairchild - Oaklawn Chapel. Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to join in commemorating the life of a woman who touched so many with her love, creativity, and joyful spirit.
May Louise's memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Bill, in eternal love and serenity.
