

Alene Williams Dekle, 87, passed away on February 17, 2015, at Oakmonte Village Memory Care, Lake Mary, Florida, where she was a resident. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following. Alene was born in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Charles and Mae Williams, on August 18, 1927. She moved to Lake Mary, Florida, in 1972 and soon thereafter opened Alene’s Dress Shop and Hair Salon in Sanford, Florida, which she operated until she retired. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed painting in oils and watercolors, gardening and flower arranging, attending social events, and traveling. Alene is survived by a daughter, Patricia Sirmons Brackin of Apopka, Florida, a son, Ronald William Sirmons of The Villages, Florida; two grandchildren, Michael Todd Brackin of Defuniak Springs, Florida, and Richard Brent Brackin of Sandy Springs, Georgia; as well as three great-granddaughters, Hayden Alexis Brackin of Panama City, Florida, and Julia Anna Brackin and Olivia Paula Brackin, both of Sandy Springs, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin R. Dekle, her parents, Charles and Mae Newberry Williams, five sisters, Gwendolyn Moulton, Rubye Rachel, Dixie Cross, Mildred Sharber, Evelyn Futch; and three brothers, Milton "Buddy" Williams, Chester "Totsie" Williams and Herbert Williams.Flowers will be accepted, or if you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, please consider the Dementia Society of America.
