A bright light in a dark world, Bailey leaves behind her loving parents, Shane and Bridget; her older sisters, Burgundy and Brandy; her beloved Doberman, Daisy; and her Himalayans, Lily and Joey. Additionally, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Eleanor Dickess, of South Point, Ohio; her paternal grandmother, Edith Walters, of Tortola; her paternal grandfather, Wycliffe Walters, of St. Kitts & Nevis; and a rather large extended family. Bailey is also mourned by her teammates, classmates, as well as the many others whose lives she impacted during her own short existence.
Bailey was a rising 7th grader in the Gifted and Talented program at Sanford Middle School. She completed grades K-5 at Goldsboro Elementary. She spent her pre-kindergarten years at Kid City USA, in Sanford. She loved marine biology and art courses best. She had dreams of becoming the first female, mixed race presidential candidate to have served in the military, be a lawyer, have a farm, AND live at home. Becoming a social media star was also not off the table.
Bailey played for Top Select Volleyball Academy in Maitland. During the 2018-2019 season, Bailey also played for Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy in Longwood. She was an skilled outside hitter whose accomplishments include having served a perfect set, allowing her team to win 25-0 during the 2018-2019 season. Her coaches and teammates considered her to be a remarkable sportswoman both on and off the court.
Bailey was generous with the time she didn’t spend devoted to her sport. She volunteered at Circle H Equestrian Pursuits, particularly with their Special Olympics events. She never missed an opportunity to be atop a horse, or taking care of one. Horses were both a pleasure and a passion to her. She also enjoyed listening to the Sirius XM station, Liquid Metal, the color yellow, Nutella sandwiches, and “forgetting” to wear her back brace.
Bailey Amina was an all-star human. She was a loving daughter, a compassionate sister, a kind friend. Everyone who interacted with her came away better for the experience. Her loss will ripple far and be felt for years to come. She was unimaginably loved.
Bailey loved wildflowers, and would pick them wherever she found them. It is because of this that the family requests that donations (in lieu of flowers) be made to the following organizations in Bailey’s name:
Circle H Equestrian Pursuits, to assist with Special Olympics scholarships -

Hyatt’s Angels, to assist with other families who have suffered a loss -
