In March of 1975 Office Automation, Inc. was formed. Barry saved and brought his parents to Orlando in 1976. After the Blizzard of ‘77, he offered his brother-in-law a job as Service Manager. Barry Melnick made it his business to make sure the Buffalo family had work to do and to keep themselves employed and have roofs over their heads.
In 1988, he met a sweet Indiana girl and married for the second time to his best friend, and true love of his life, Peri Lee. They worked together in Altamonte Springs, Longwood offices and after a while, moved to San Francisco for a few years. They eventually retired to New Smyrna Beach where Barry enjoyed painting and they both loved to travel in their Margaritaville golf cart around town. During his retirement, they enjoyed traveling to different ports, especially via cruise ships and before the CoronaVirus Pandemic.
Barry, you were loved by all and you will forever be in our hearts and minds. We all miss you so much already. Rest in Peace.
