Betty Jean Monett, 79, of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2016. She was born in Deland, Florida to her loving parents Hiriam and Maggie Mae Strickland. Betty loved to spend time with her family and had a passion for flowers. She also loved quilting, fishing and being on the water. She was predeceased in death by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years Joseph Monett and her two sons Bobby and David Monett. She is survived by her two daughters Leona (Fred) Jones, Michelle (Robert) Gaylord and her daughter-in-law Stephanie Monett. The family has planned a Memorial Service for Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 6pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home located at 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771.
