Blanche K. Smith, 86, of Sanford, Florida, passed away, February 1, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, under the compassionate care of Villa Health and Rehab located in Deland, Florida.
On May 5, 1934, she was born in Ormond Beach, Florida, to the late Horace and Nellie Nix Kittrell. After her high school graduation, Blanche worked in the food service industry.
She is survived by a son James I Smith II and his wife, Michele Marie; a brother, Horace Kittrell; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Blanche was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, James I. Smith; a daughter, Nicki C. Mullins; three brothers, Eugene, Gerald and Lenard Kittrell; two sisters, Eloise Riddel and Irene King.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Oaklawn Cemetery; 5000 County Road 46A; Sanford, Florida with Pastor Gene Gregory officiating. Reception will immediately follow.
