Booker T. Tompkins was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his strength, wisdom, and unwavering love for those around him. A natural protector, he built a career in security, ensuring the safety of others with deep commitment and dedication.
Born to Louise Tompkins (Longley) and Booker T. Tompkins Sr., Booker was the eldest of five, leading his siblings—Olivia, Juanita, Josh, and Jackie Tompkins—with care and responsibility.
His creative and innovative mind was evident from childhood and later led him to achieve four nationally recognized patents as an inventor. His greatest joy was his family—his beloved wife of eight years, Tanika Tompkins, and their two daughters, Yaylaa and Amiyaa Tompkins. Whether enjoying simple moments at home or creating cherished memories together, his love and devotion to them were boundless.
Beyond family, Booker sought growth and connection. As a member of the Man of War Society G4, he conquered the crucible and earned the honorable title of "Brother," embodying resilience and discipline. He was also deeply engaged in his virtual reality crew, where he shared knowledge, encouragement, and camaraderie with like-minded individuals worldwide.
To his nieces and nephew—Nefretiri, Aalyssa, Amari, Mikey, Aaliyah, Jade, and Jordan— he was a mentor, role model, and constant source of laughter and wisdom. Booker lived boldly, fearlessly, and with an open heart, always ready to inspire, protect, and uplift.
His legacy of love, strength, and innovation will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Rest well, Booker T. Tompkins Jr.
You have earned your wings with honor.
