Carl George Zimel, 78, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away on July 17th, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Rose, his children, Jill, Jeff & Brian, step children, Ronnie & Debbie, 11 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
Carl moved to Florida in 1988. He spent his career as a bank president, an insurance agent & investments broker. He & his wife loved to travel. They cruised all over for years, enjoying the different cultures from around the world.
Since his retirement 8 years ago, Carl has enjoyed playing tennis, taking long walks, going on the casino cruises, playing Mexican train & having dinner with their long time friends on the weekends.
A celebration of life service for Carl will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10am at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 CR 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771 with inurnment to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will host a reception immediately follow the inurnment at the funeral home.
