

Charles Lamar Nickle, 96, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024. Born on January 9, 1928, in Kissimmee, Florida, he led a life marked by service, dedication, and deep love for his family.
As a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, Charles embodied bravery and commitment. After his service, he spent many years farming with Chase & Company, cultivating crops and building lasting relationships within his community. His strong work ethic and passion for the land left a lasting legacy.
Charles is survived by his children: Charles L. Nickle Jr., Connie Kreinbring, Chris Nickle, and William Nicholas Hendry. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren, a great-grandfather to 21 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandfather to four. All of his siblings—WC Nickle Jr., Buck Nickle, and Alma Jean—preceded him in death.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, located at 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771. Following the celebration, a committal service with military honors will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of family and friends who will remember his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication.
