Chad never let his handicap stop him from enjoying life and everything it had to offer. He had an incredible sense of quiet humor, was a joy to be around and could even be a bit mischievous at times. He loved to be in the pool, his friends at the Russell Home for Atypical Children and his pets, Sam, Josh and Boots. He cherished his time in the outdoors and taking drives to new locations (so long as he was in his own bed at night). Most of all he liked to be with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Karen Barnard and Charles Shrum; step-father, Jeff Barnard; siblings, Tiffany Thompson (Rebecca), Kariann Rice (Brock), Zeb Barnard, and Wesley Barnard; nephews, Killian, Ezra and Elijah as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
