I remember how quietly dignified and youthful he always seemed, and how much respect he showed to everyone around him when I would see him at Nora and Desmond’s family events. Today, as we lay my beloved cousin to rest, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible gift of his life. To have lived 102 years is truly a blessing from God. Through those years, he was carried, sustained, and given grace to see and impact many generations.
I will always honor and celebrate the man he was—the strength of his character, the legacy he built, and the love he gave to his family. His presence was a steady reminder of wisdom, resilience, and faith, and his life leaves behind an imprint that time cannot erase.
Though our hearts grieve, I hold on to the joy of the memories we shared. His story is one of endurance and purpose, and that story now becomes part of the foundation our family stands on. His journey inspires me, and all of us, to live with wisdom, to love one another, and to walk in purpose, just as he did.
Today, as he is being laid to rest, may his memory bring comfort, and may our hearts 💕 find peace as we say, see you soon 😊. 
Cousin, your life continues to speak, and for that, I will always be grateful.

Condolences to Mr. Green's family. He was my grandmother's nephew. I met him once when many years ago. He has lived a long life and have left a legacy and cherished memories behind. As I paused to reflect on the passing of Mr. Green , what comes to mind is his example of living life to the fullest. He challenged himself each day, continuing to pursue business whether here in NYC or in Florida, his life journey with his wife, a fearlessness that I admired so much. The voice of wisdom and leadership, mentoring and advising even Astrid and myself as we sought to revive the East 42nd Street Block Association. I know he was very proud of all of us for pulling together as a team and neighbors. His zeal to participate directly or through financial support points towards his heart. I loved seeing him walk out of his home sharp as ever, always well dressed with his briefcase ready for the challenge of the day. We had the opportunity to celebrate with him as he reached 100 years of age. His eyes saw a lifetime that we can only hope and pray to reach. He remains yet another father figure in my life that has a profound impact and it pains me that I won't be able to salute him from across the street and say "welcome home general"....... God truly sends amazing people into each of our lives to touch our lives in very unique ways. Let us continue to grow together as a community, caring for one another and living as he lived...... My name is Melinda,  known to Mr. Green as Mel B. I was the nurse who met Mr. Green at my job, in the 2 years that I have known Mr. Green I have gained much respect for him as my patient and a friend. I consider it a GREAT HONOR TO HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING MR. GREEN, ALSO A BLESSING.

I know Mr Green for about 40 years.  He has always been such a gentleman. He was  the greatest roll model and an inspiration to our whole family . He was loved and respected and we will miss him and try to honor him daily
