My deepest condolences. Colin was not only a wonderful coworker but someone I was truly grateful to call a friend. Running into him at local car shows was always a highlight. Over the past two and a half years, we shared so many conversations about work, school, health, cars, motorcycles, and just life in general.

He will be deeply missed. I wasn’t able to attend his services, but I hope they were filled with love, remembrance, and the honor he deserved. My thoughts are with his family and closest friends, and I hope they’re finding the strength to take each day one step at a time.

Despite being a very sad time, it was a wonderful ceremony with moving tributes.  Thank you to the Quinn family for making this difficult time a little more manageable.

I’ve worked with Colin for many years in IT.  He was always willing to help out a coworker and a club even if it required him to work extra hours.  He was one of my ‘go to’ guys if I needed help with gaining access to source code or resolving some C++ issue.  We spent many hours together going over data for conversions to Salesforce.    He was also my ‘goto’ guy for switching days for Meals on Wheels.  We did the same route on different days and if I needed coverage, we would swap days.  
You don’t realize how much you would rely on someone’s help until they are gone.   This picture of Colin is from one of our last online data migration team meetings.  I believe he is using a cabin background.    Rest in Peace Colin.  You are missed.

I just saw the news from Dave M.  I'm so sorry to hear of Colin's passing, and extend my heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.  I greatly enjoyed working with Colin at AAA, he was always positive and kind, just an overall awesome and friendly guy with a great attitude! He will be missed by all whom had the great pleasure of knowing him.

I worked with Colin for many years and have been friends for many since.  Over the course of the past decade we have met with friends for "planning" sessions at Central 28 after work.  Colin could always be counted on to show up and would be the first to buy someone a beer or share some food.  He was one of the most truly generous and thoughtful people I know.  For the past two years running he and I have been going to Rockville in Daytona Beach together, last year we stood for 6 hours in the same place to not lose the front row at the stage we were at.  Colin was always there for anyone who needed anything.  Last spring he brought his camper by my house just to help my family gauge whether or not we could get a camper up the hill next to our house.  With his help we were able to make the decision that with the right camper we could.  Colin was always busy doing something, he was never one to sit around and let the grass grow under his feet.  I'm going to miss him and the world is a little less bright of a place without him.

I'm a student and teacher at Urban Om where Colin was a core member of our Wednesday night yin yoga crew. He always had such an amazing energy and was so excited to yap about music and cars.

One week there was just 3 students plus me teaching and we all impulsively decided to play Pink Floyd's the wall as the soundtrack to class which ended up being incredible and a memory I will never forget.

Colin's sly giggle while Marc ribs on him and just his presense overall will be deeply missed. See you on the dark side of the moon my friend. 💚

I'm so sad.  I've worked with Colin for years and he was just the nicest guy.  He was smart and funny and so sweet.  

The knowledge of his passing was like a punch to the gut.  Super sucks.

This is so sad. I walked by Colin’s cube every day at work, and he always greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello. His kindness and positivity will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and everyone who loved him. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Colin for 14 years.  Colin and his family lived in my neighborhood.  I always kept up with Emmett through Colin and it was wonderful to watch his face light up and his pride come out when speaking about his son.  Colin was always positive when many including myself were negative about work.  He was always the hardest working in the office without exception.  His knowledge of the applications was extensive.  But the best thing about Colin was his concern for others and willingness to help.  He always did meals on wheels even when we were overloaded at work.  His involvement at the boy scouts included helping Emmett build his final eagle project for the school.  I loved that I could loan my mustang convertible to him to take Emmett to a school event.  Colin was a wonderful person that will be missed.

I’m still in disbelief at the news of Colin’s passing. When I last saw him, he had that familiar friendly smile and relaxed demeanor that immediately put my mind at ease — a quiet reassurance that he was okay.

It’s hard to put into words what Colin meant to me. We didn’t see each other too often — usually only when I was back in the Orlando area from Las Vegas, or when we were off on one of our epic motorcycling adventures. But the bond we shared ran deep. Those adventures forged something meaningful between us — the kind of connection that comes from shared experiences, late-night conversations about books, technology, music, family, and myriad topics.

When I spoke of Colin to those who only knew him through my description of him, I often referred to Colin as a “public good.” By that, I meant that his very existence made the world a better place. His kindness and decency weren’t self-serving; they were simply a part of who he was. No matter how many obligations he carried, he always had time for others. When you spoke with Colin, you knew he was present — really listening, genuinely caring, connecting in that rare way that left you feeling understood and valued.

My heart goes out to Julie, Emmett, and all those who were fortunate enough to know Colin well. I know what Julie and Emmett meant to him because I could see the pride and joy on his face whenever he spoke of them. Even on a “guys’ motorcycle adventure,” his wife and son were a constant part of our conversations. His love for them was deeply evident. I admired that!

Colin had a way of grounding those around him.  He was one of the good ones, and the world feels dimmer without him. But I’m deeply grateful to have shared the road — both literally and figuratively — with such a remarkable friend.

I knew Colin for decades and was deeply sad to hear of his unexpected passing. Colin was a true friend—caring, helpful, supportive, easygoing. He helped me through some difficult times when I needed a true friend. And, in my case, he always gave more than he received. I will miss my friend very much.

My solace in this sad time—when his life was cut too short—is to know that he lived a full, engaged, and active life and had a loving family. He truly embraced his life, whether it was traveling with friends and family, zipping around on his motorcycle(s), talking “geek”, leading and guiding the scouts, working on his latest home improvement project, and engaging in all the other myriad things which were always keeping him busy. From talking to Colin I knew he was a loving father and husband to Emmett and Julie and  proud of both of them as well.

We weren’t as close in recent years with me living in China and the Midwest and he in Florida. But whenever I visited it was like old times. And I can see from reading the memorial posts written about Colin from friends and family that the positive traits I remember so well hadn’t changed over the years.

Colin will be missed. And by all of those who knew him he will always be fondly remembered.

Our family will always remember Colin with love.  My son Jim was his friend from grade school , high school and throughout their adulthood and he was the best friend one could have. He will always be in our hearts.  Our blessings  to Julie and Emmett.

Colin, my brother in law, brother and friend was a very good man who genuinely cared about everyone. I will miss him very much.
He truly was a special person who passed away way too soon.

Julie and Colin  invited me to their annual Christmas celebration my first year at the VA I can not thank them enough for their hospitality. I felt welcome and warmth in their home I will forever be grateful to them.

Colin is such an inspiration to me. When we met i felt something I hadn't felt for some time prior... the feeling of "i want to be more like that".  I love his taste in music,  his ideals, his family... most of all i love his strength and his 'coolness' shown in the most humble of dudes... an absolute giant to me, with an aura that would make anyone feel embraced.

I'm so very sorry to hear of this.  Colin was absolutely the kindest, nicest person I've ever worked with.  Easy sense of humor, very helpful, and just a great person to know.  He will be so missed.
