

Daniel Joseph Curtin III, age 92, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2016. He was born on March 8, 1924 in the Bronx, New York to Daniel Joseph II and Gladys Curtin. Growing up, he attended military school then joined the service. Daniel fought in WWII in the 82nd airborne and received a purple heart with honor. After discharge, he enrolled in Fairfield University. During his college years, he met Rosemary V. Speckman at a church dance. On July 1,1949, he married her and started a family. A hard-worker, Daniel made several successful entrepreneurial ventures to support his wife and kids. Using his sense of humor and outgoing personality, he found many vocational opportunities including: sales, marketing and even judicial work! After many happy years in Ridgefield, Connecticut, Dan moved down to Florida to support a family business. Daniel was a member and founder of the Veterans Committee at Oakmonte Village in Lake Mary, Florida. He was very proud of his service and the country he served under. Daniel will be especially remembered for his positive mental attitude, thought-provoking discussions, and remarkable fighting spirit. Survivors include his beloved wife Rosemary, loving children; Daniel Joseph and deceased wife Susan, Brian and wife Lisa, Deborah Golightly and deceased husband Wayne, Michael and wife Claudia, Grandchildren; Daniel Joseph and wife Jessica, Courtney and fiancée Jason, Gregory and wife Lindsey, Kelly Ann and husband Steve, Brian Jr., Brittany, Ali, Ashley, Madison, and Great Grandchildren; Anthony, Hudson, Adriana, Nash, and Alexander. Service will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs Florida 32714) on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 1:30 PM.
