Daniel Martin Phillips

He was born on October 5, 1970 in Farrell, PA. where he grew up until he was 2 and moved to Sanford with his parents. Dan graduated from Seminole High School in 1988 and went to Seminole State College in 1991 with his AA degree. He worked at Wal-Mart for 18 years as the Electronics and Photo Lab Manager. He then went to Sprint for 7 years as a Customer Service Representative and then to Alight Solutions for 11 years as a Customer service Representative until his passing. He attended Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church in Sanford with his family. He loved to go on wildlife drives and bird watching.

He is preceded in death by his parents Barbara Salsgiver and Fernley Phillips and a daughter, Kimberly Phillips. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Julie Phillips, his children - Kayla (Fernando), Nicholas (Aubrey), and Nathaniel (Zara).

He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Benjamin, Isabella, and Elizabeth. The family would like to thank all our friends and church family for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life at Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church at 2626 S. Palmetto Avenue Sanford, FL 32773 on September 12, 2026 at 11:00am.
