Mrs. Daphne S Carson

Born in Belmont NC on September 2, 1931, Daphne was the beloved daughter of Oland “OR” Ramsey Stewart and Georgia McGinnis Stewart. A proud graduate of the Gaston Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Daphne lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and grace—both in her career and in her family life.

On September 12, 1953, Daphne married Navy Commander Ernest H. “Ernie” Carson, with whom she shared a deep and devoted partnership until his passing. Together they raised a loving family and created a home filled with warmth, service, and resilience.

Daphne is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Carson; her parents, OR and Georgia Stewart; her brother, AC Stewart; and her sisters, Ginny Prior and Brenda Hall.

She is survived by her loving partner, Bob Miller, and her dear sister, Angie Webb.

She is also lovingly remembered by her four children:

- Keith Carson and Debbie Le Grand

- Steve and wife Brenda Carson

Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren:

Daphne also leaves behind many other extended family members and lifelong friends who were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength.

Visitation will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Oak Lawn Chapel Sanford on Sunday, June 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 16, at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sanford.

In loving memory of Daphne, her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating a life so beautifully lived.
