Deborah Lopez, 48, of Sanford, Florida, passed away on December 28th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and unwavering light. Born on May 26th, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, Deborah grew into a woman whose presence could brighten even the heaviest day. She graduated from Bishop Ford and later earned her Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York - University at Albany. She began her career in Social Services, where her compassion and strength touched countless lives. In time, she discovered her true calling as a nanny, a job that allowed her to pour her heart into nurturing children with the same warmth and patience she gave to everyone she loved.
Deborah lived her life with faith, joy, and adventure. She loved the Lord deeply and carried that love into the way she treated others with kindness, grace, and an open heart. She was a world traveler who embraced new experiences, whether she was exploring a new country, taking spontaneous solo trips, or watching the sunrise at the beach. Colombia was one of her favorite places, a destination that reflected her vibrant spirit.
She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments: cooking at home, doing arts and crafts especially coloring, attending concerts, and spending time outside. She loved going on picnics with friends, relaxing at the beach, or walking along the Sanford Riverwalk, soaking in the beauty around her. Her love for life was contagious.
A Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor, Deborah embodied resilience. She was relentless, hopeful, and full of positivity even in the hardest moments. Her smile didn’t just brighten every room she entered. Outgoing, joyful, and always ready with a laugh, she had a sweetness that made knowing her a blessing. And to those she loved, she made sure they felt like her favorite blessing too.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elba Lopez. She is survived by her sisters Maria, Letitia and Barbara along with her daughter Kaila Falzon, who was the greatest joy of her life and the person she loved most in this world.
