Donald was born in Miami, Florida on October 3, 1943. He graduated from Parsons College with a Bachelors in Political Science. He worked as a safety consultant. Don was married to his wife of 52 years Linda Ames. Don enjoyed cruising with his wife, spending time at the beach, decorating for Holidays, playing with his grandchildren, and line dancing with his many friends. He is survived by his wife Linda Ames, his first son John Ames, his wife Jane, and their children Rachael and Brian of Alpharetta, GA; his daughter Patty Thompson, and her husband Robert and children Kaitlyn and Wyatt Thompson of Tallahassee FL; his sister Vonnie Ames of Homestead, FL and brother Jack Ames of Greenville, SC.
Daniel was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 15, 1968. He graduated from Lake Mary High School and then continued on to graduated from the Diver's Academy of the Eastern Seaboard in Cherry Hill, NJ where he received his commercial divers license. He worked mostly in Florida, but also traveled out of state. He had a passion for all kinds of animals and loved being out on the water in his kayak. He is survived by his maternal grandmother Audrey Hillenberg, his mother, Linda Ames, his brother John Ames and sister Patty Thompson.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Donald S. Ames, Jr. & Daniel S Ames will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 COUNTY ROAD 46A, SANFORD, FL 32771. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nativity Catholic Church, 3255 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750. An interment with Committal Prayers will immediately follow the Mass at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, located at 5000 COUNTY ROAD 46A, SANFORD, FL 32771.
