Donna was born on April 28, 1936, to Ray and Cordelia Reeder. She graduated from Richland High School in Washington state. She was married to Ernest "Gene" Dickson on August 27, 1955. They were married until Gene passed in 2012. She served alongside Gene as a Navy wife for 21 years, raising three children. While in Memphis, Tennessee, they were introduced to Street Rodding. They became members of the Memphis Street Rod Association and the National Street Rod Association. They were season ticket holders to the UofM basketball and the Memphis Showboats football team. They spent most weekends attending Street Rod events often dragging their three children and later the grandchildren. She worked at JB Hunters in Memphis and Old Time Pottery in Lake Mary, Florida.
She and Gene moved to Geneva, Florida, in 1995 from Memphis. For several years, they would attend Daytona Speed Weeks along with going to the Daytona 500. She enjoyed sewing and ceramics. She once sewed dolls similar to Cabbage Patch for all four grandchildren. She loved watching sports like basketball, baseball, football, and NASCAR. Her favorite channel was the Animal Planet Channel. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Norma Baze and Wands Fox; her husband Ernest "Gene" Dickson; and daughter Catherine Ballard.
She is survived by her children Debra Burroughs and Micheal Dickson; her grandchildren April Edwards, Douglas Burroughs, Micheal Dickson, Jr., and Stephanie Weakley; and eight great grandchildren Gavin and Emersyn Jones; Gage, Addison, and McKayla Burroughs; and Ella, Luke, and Abbi Weakley. In Lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations made to The Alzheimer's Association in honor of Donna.
