Edith Beckford

In memory of Edith Beckford our beloved Mother we unite to say goodbye and to honor the life she graced us with. Born on April 9, 1926 to Ester Forbes and Reginald Archibald in Bocas Del Toro, Panama City, Panama.

Edith lived a life fueled by passion. She loved her music, cooking, numbers and lets not rule out her scratch offs tickets. Her joy came when surrounded by family with the jokes and laughter filling the air.

On June 6, 2024 Our Lord and Savior reached for her hand and took her home.

Left to cherish her memories are her siblings Luisa Archibald Williams and Leroy Archibald. Her daughter Lisa Beckford, Son Reinaldo Beckford and Carlos Beckford. Edith pre deceased children are her son Frank Beckford and daughter Patricia Gumbs.

Edith has a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughter-in-laws.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free;

I took His hand when he came for me

I turned my back and with found strength

whispered goodbye.

I could not hold on any longer.

If my parting has left a void;

then fill it with remembered joy.

My life’s been full, I savored much
