She was born in Daule, Ecuador on October 9, 1946. Egnedi graduated from Fashion Institute (FIT) and received a Fashion Pattern Maker Degree from Fashion Institute of Technology. She was married to Angel Vera in February of 1972.
Egnedi had a career with the New York Garment Industry for over 20 years. When the garment industry left New York, she was able to transfer her skills to clothing alterations for small retail establishments and private clients. Her hard work ethic, her ability to save and economize enabled her to buy a home in Florida, where she retired in 2013.
Egnedi is survived by her Husband; Angel Vera, Sons; Richard Vera, Danny Vera, Daughter; Gina Laughlin, Sisters; Sandra Martha and Carmen Alzamora, Brothers; Ceasar Alzamora and Ivan Torres, Grandchildren; Alexandra and Torrin Laughlin.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 3:00PM ET, September 12, 2023 at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel.
