G.G, i will always admire how strong you were. You fought through many illnesses growing up but still never let anybody see how bad you felt because you were always so positive.I loved spending time with you every week and it is going to be very hard to live without you in our lives but we are all trying to remain strong because we know thats what you would want us to do. I loved coming over and playing cards or just watching T.V with you and i will cherish all the memories we had together. I wish i had gotten more years with you but i am so blessed to have had you in my life for 15 years. It still doesnt seem like you are really gone and i will miss you everyday for the rest of my life.  I love you always.

You we're always there for me, if it was greeting me after school, in the car when you picked us up, you always had a huge smile on your face and a loving heart, excited to see us. When we would play cards Skipo, Uno, War and lots of other games. Every single day I was at grandma's you would always check on me to see if I was O.K.  You would also always come to my sports events cheering me up when I lost and helping me celebrate when I won. You will be remembered in my heart forever and though you are gone it feels like you are here every single day I love you forever.

It still hasn't hit me that we won't be having any more long talks or visits. It won't be easy adjusting to losing you, but you're with God now and my great grandpa. You're memory will be kept alive forever in our hearts. Thank you for every lesson you've ever taught me, every talk you've ever shared with me, and every memory you've ever blessed me with. You may be gone from this life, but I know you'll never be far, watching over us always. Love you forever GG.

On weekdays grandma would always pick me up. When we went back to her house G.G was always there and happy to see us. I remember always playing cards with her. When she could drive sometimes she would take me to dance class. She was always so kind and sweet to all her family. She was a very strong women. I am so lucky to have had her in my life. Even though she is not on earth she is watching over us in Heaven.

Grandma, I know you are at peace, but there is still a large whole in my heart.  I could never thank you enough for everything you did for me.  I especially loved our late night talks when you told me wonderful stories of your life, and our family. You always listened to me with an open heart and open mind.  You are a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  You touched each and every one of us, and our lives were better for having you in it.  It will be hard to not have you with us, but your memory will never fade.    Your example of living life to its fullest, and loving life to its fullest will forever be with me.  I miss you so much, and especially miss seeing your amazing smile.  Until we embrace again I will carry you in my heart.  I love you forever.  David WIlliam

Although I may not have known you as long as many others I can truly say that in our fourteen years together you had an amazing impact on my life.  Ever since the first time I met you in high school picking up Laura from school you were always kind, welcoming, and thoughtful to me.  I can definitely say that I am thankful for you raising an amazing granddaughter who carries your memory on in her words and actions.  I will always remember Laura, yourself, and I playing card games and I could never win against either of you.  All three of us vacationed a lot together whether it was in the Caribbean or out west in Colorado.  It was an honor being able to spend time with you and I have to thank you for inviting me into and making me feel like a part of your family.  I will miss you very much as I know everyone will, but I take comfort in the fact that you are watching over and guiding us all along our way.

Ma,

You have always been my hero. You were sick for most of your life but you always pushed on to enjoy your life to the fullest and to always help me. We had so many fun times both when I was young and with your grandchildren and great grandchildren. You are missed so very much!!!  I will try to be strong like you but know I will fall short.  I love you so very much! I pray you are happy, at peace and pain free. Till we meet again, Ma, I will try to carry on with your strength.

I'm so thankful to have had you in my life GG.  Thank you for always being there to support, encourage and love me.  Thank you for setting an example of hard work, sacrifice, love, family and living life to the fullest.  I will miss you the rest of my days here but will always cherish the memories.  I will always remember you smiling, no matter the circumstances, and will try my best to do the same.

It's not going to be easy, getting used to this life without you Grandma. But the memories you left me with will get me through. All of the lessons you taught me and the love you showed me will be tucked in my heart always. I think I will miss your laugh and smile most of all, there are no words to convey what a blessing you've been in my life. I will miss you forever and look forward to seeing you again. I love you so much, rest in peace my sweet GG.

While there are no words to accurately describe what an incredible Grandma she was, what I can say is that she was a fighter who loved life and her family. The bond I was able to develop with her is something I will cherish forever.  Watching the Golden Girls, TGIF shows, playing cards, seeing her on the side lines of all my soccer games, picking me up from school and going on vacations are just a small glimpse of the wonderful memories I have.  She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being around her family the most. She did so much for everyone in the family and I am so grateful that I had her around every single day. She taught me to cherish every day, put family first and live life to the fullest. While my life will never be the same, my life is better because of the Grandmother she was and all that she taught me. She loved unconditionally, raised an amazing daughter who became a loving, family oriented and selfless mother and became an amazing Great Grandmother. I will carry you in my heart forever Grandma and I know you will be with me always. I will try to live my life and enjoy every moment just like you did.

I was privileged to know Ellie for almost fifty years.  She was welcoming, strong, kind and determined.  She was a second mother to me  and our children and a second grandmother to our grandchildren.  She loved life, her family, and her animals.  Without Ellie I wound not have received the greatest gift of my life, sharing my life with Charlene who is the most family centered, selfless person I know.  I have loved her forever and thank Ellie for giving me such a gift. 
I am going to try and following Ellie's example and live life in the moment and enjoy the ride every hour of every day.
