Eleanora Martha Cordes

Eleanora M. Cordes died peacefully at her home in Deltona, Florida, January 17, 2023. She was born in Aurora, Illinois on July 21, 1922 to William and Mary Cordes. She moved to Clearwater, Florida and opened a ceramic shop in 1952. After selling the shop she began working in accounting and taxes and earned her Enrolled Agent (E.A.) Certificate in June 1976. She was very proud that she could represent her clients before the Internal Revenue Service for any assistance they might need. She worked for Crown and Company and Metal Industries and then began her own business as Eleanora Cordes E.A. She continued doing taxes through 2019. She was very dedicated to her clients and helped guide them through their taxes every year. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, anything to do with animals and doing some traveling with Stacy. She had two sisters Edna Race and Esther Stout who predeceased her. She is survived by Stacy Webb of Deltona, Sarah Goodman of Orange City, Florida, Sue (John) Kerby of Greentop, Missouri and Robert (Hope) McDonald of Freeport, Illinois. She had many special friends who she considered to be her family. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Hospice or any animal shelters. A graveside service for Eleanora will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 5000 County Road 46A, Saford, FL 32771.
