Obituary of Elizabeth Schrader
IN THE CARE OF

Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel & Oaklawn Cemetery

Just shy of her 90th birthday, Elizabeth (Betty) Muzeka Schrader died unexpectedly, after a brief illness, on Friday March 14, 2025, at Advent Health Hospital in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Betty was born on April 9, 1935, in Rochester, NY to Willis and Ruth (Clark) Allen. On September 21, 1957, she married James Charles (Chuck) Muzeka, who preceded her in death in 1993. Later in life, she married G. James Schrader, who also preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by two sons, Steven (Robin) Muzeka and Robert Muzeka, as well as two grandchildren, Michael James (Kaitlyn) Muzeka and Charlie Lauren (Danny) Muzeka Sims. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Steven Muzeka, who died in 2018. Betty was thrilled to be GiGi to her three precious great grandchildren, Hunter Grayson, Dominick Matthew and Ava Makenzie.

Betty is also survived by her sister Carol (Jim) Steiger and was preceded in death by her brother Donald (Fran) Allen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved watching grow up.

Betty moved to Florida with Chuck in 1979 and both worked for decades at Stromberg Carlson, which later became Siemens. Betty was a member of Nativity Catholic Church, and an avid golfer who loved spending time with her many wonderful friends. She loved teasing her family that she was the family Hole in One Champion.

Betty will be missed by so many for the love and laughter she was always willing to share with others.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Nativity Catholic Church, 3255 N Ronald Reagan Blvd, Longwood, FL 32750.

Another memorial mass will be held at a later date in Fairport, New York with inurnment to follow in White Haven Cemetery in Pittsford, NY next to her husband at a later date.

In lieu of traditional remembrances, donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida in her honor would be appreciated.
