Frances Brantley Roberts, 96, passed away from Covid-19 on September 16 at Halifax Hospice in Orange City, Florida. A long-time resident of Sanford, she spent her final years living at the Alliance Community in DeLand. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.O. “Ozzy” Roberts, and is survived by her children, Mike Roberts and his wife, Sharon, Diane Osepchook, and Kim Steele and her husband, Rick. She was beloved by her grandchildren, Sarah Bjorge, Rachael Koptchak, Brandon Steele, Rebekah Kazmierczak, Kevin Steele, Jennifer Roberts, Jessica Liberatore, Anna Vrhovac, Bryan Roberts, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Frances devoted her life to her family and will be missed by all she drew into her loving embrace.
Retired from Seminole County Schools, where she worked as a teacher’s aide, Frances moved to North Carolina for a number of years before returning to her home state of Florida. She was an avid reader and a puzzle enthusiast, a gardener and an accomplished seamstress.
Services to honor Frances will be at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel & Cemetery on Sunday, September 26 at 2:00 PM, with interment immediately following at 3:00 PM.
