Francis Adam Breslin, born on February 5, 1934, in New York City to Thomas and Georgiana Breslin (née Beedenbender), passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.
Raised in Queens, Francis attended Catholic school, where he developed a lifelong love of learning and faith. A natural athlete, he competed in many sports and found his greatest success on the basketball court and baseball field. His discipline and perseverance in athletics resonated throughout his life, influencing both his professional and personal journeys.
Francis pursued higher education with determination, earning his undergraduate degree in accounting from Manhattan College and later his MBA from New York University. These accomplishments laid the foundation for his distinguished career as an International Tax Accountant. His profession took him across the globe, where he not only served clients with expertise but also built lasting friendships and gained a breadth of cultural experiences.
On May 3, 1959, Francis married the love of his life, Joan Heidinger. Together, they built a family and shared nearly six decades of marriage until Joan’s passing in 2018. Their partnership was marked by love, devotion, and mutual respect. They especially cherished their travels together, with a particular fondness for exploring California’s wine country.
A man of deep faith, Francis remained active in the Catholic Church throughout his life. He was dedicated to service, teaching as a religious educator and serving faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister.
Francis leaves behind a proud and loving legacy. He is survived by his three children, Brian (Melissa), James (Kelly), and Victoria (Michael); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. His family, who knew him as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, will forever treasure his wisdom, humor, and steady guidance.
He will be remembered as a man of integrity, faith, and compassion. Francis’ life was one of service, adventure, and devotion to family, and his memory will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, located at 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771, on September 28, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A graveside service will be conducted at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel & Oaklawn Cemetery, 5000 Co Rd 46A, Sanford, FL 32771, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the same day.
