Gary grew up largely in Toledo, Ohio before the family settled in Orlando, Florida in 1973. He was an avid offshore fisherman, a Florida State Football fanatic and a sushi connoisseur. He spent many sunny days trolling for schools of dolphin and many evenings eating Fuji Sushi while watching Florida State Football.
Gary is survived by his two children, Paul and Lauren, his grandson Mason, his brother Ronald Blessing, and best friend John Vollet, along with countless other friends and family members.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home; Sanford, Florida. A Gathering of Family will be held one hour prior to the service. Following the service at 12:30 p.m. a luncheon will be at St. John’s River Steak & Seafood for close family and friends.
