Gary Moss Buddenhagen

Gary M. Buddenhagen, 74, passed away on August 26, 2017 at his home in DeBary, Florida. He was born on July 18, 1943 in Schenectady, New York to Lester Buddenhagen and Florence Moss.

Gary loved God, family and his country. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. After serving his country in the military Gary had a career as a plans examiner working for the government. He had many gifts, the greatest of which was his love for people. Gary served as head elder of Faith Bible Church in Deltona.

Gary is preceded in death by his son Robert. He leaves behind his wife Nancy who was the love of his life, his brother Toby, his sons Andrew and Matt and his stepson Ed Sublett along with his two beautiful daughters in love Mellissa and Jill. Gary also leaves behind his five grandchildren Eric, Corie, Justin, Mariah and Bella along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:00pm following the visitation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gary's name to the Faith Bible Church in Deltona or to any relief fund that is assisting families and volunteers in Texas due to the recent hurricane.

I haven't seen Gary since I was a little girl, but I used to spend time with Aunt Florence and Uncle Les when they were in Schenectady. I do think of those times with great happiness.

Grew up with Gary and Toby, life long friends. Visited with Gary and Nancy on our way home from Florida in 2015, shared many memories of our lives growing up together. RIP FRIEND
