

Gery Robert Grimm, age 58, went home to his Father in Heaven May 14, 2025. He was born April 4, 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska, to parents Jean Ford and Gerard Grimm. He grew up in Council Bluff and then joined the military after graduation as a combat medic with the 82nd airborne and was one of the first units to parachute into Iraq during the Desert Storm campaign. While serving his country for three years, he became a highly decorated serviceman as a medical specialist, receiving 2 Bronze Stars- Southwest Asia, the Kuwait Liberation Medal- Saudi Arabia, National Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, M16 Expert Badge, Parachute Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Army Service Ribbon, and Army Lapel Button.
Once he retired from the military, he pursued higher education at Tennessee State University, graduating in 2001. He wanted to be a doctor but because of financial reasons, he was unable to go on to a postgraduate degree, opting to work in the laboratory until such time as he was able to enroll in Chiropractic school. He was able to achieve his dream in 2021, graduating from the Palmer School of Chiropractic Medicine as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). He always had to work hard to achieve his goals but would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved his boys fiercely and was immensely proud of all their accomplishments.We know he is now in Heaven riding the motorcycle he was never able to have here on earth. His smile was infectious, and he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his ex-wife Sue, his three boys James, Sam, and Nathan, his sisters Anita Schuckert, Valerie Grimm Coleman (Jeff), and Karen Parr. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Nancy Geu. Family will receive friends at the Baldwin – Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Rd. 46A, Sanford FL on Sunday, May 18th from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday, May 19th, at 10 am at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs. Interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
