
Jacque was born on August 17, 1946, to parents Donald Clark Pain and Elizabeth June Williams Pain of Barneveld, NY in Utica, NY. She graduated from Winter Park, FL high school in 1964 and from the University of Florida with a BA degree in Education in 1968.
She taught school at several locations in Florida, Maryland and Michigan.
Jacque was a charter life member of the Alumni Association of the University of Florida and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Holland Patent, NY Post and the Women’s Club of Winter Park, FL. She was a member of the American Rose Society and the Heritage Roses Group. She was also a member of MENSA.
She organized the Winter Park Garden Tour in the 2004 and 2005 and was a life member of the Winter Park Historical Society. She authored a book entitled “The Private Gardens of Winter Park”.
Jacque loved roses and general gardening, history, reading, photography, genealogy, classic architecture and travelling to historic American locations.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Darrell L. Davis, and stepson Robert T. Davis of Prescott, AZ, and stepdaughter Penny M. Flowers of Casper, WY. She is also survived by her sister, Pamela Jill Pain of Orange City, FL, and a nephew, Erik Keenan of Orange City, FL.
Private services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, March 29, at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home – Oaklawn, 5000 County Road, 46 A, Sanford, FL.
