A native of Fort Wayne IN, he was the son of Helen C. and Ralph Glusenkamp. He graduated from South Side High School and shortly after, went on to serve in the US Army. He served for 3 years where he was stationed in Germany and then was sent to serve in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed watching all sports, but college basketball was his passion. He studied music and performed in many concerts throughout his life. He was member of Great Expectations music group in Lake Helen until his death.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ida, daughter Jennifer (John) Cabral, son Andy (Michelle) Cambron, grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon) Nestleroad, AJ, and JJ and on great-grandchild, Alice.
A memorial service will be held at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 107 S. Euclid Ave., Lake Helen, FL at 4;00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana with military honors.
