Born in Longmont, Colorado, her family moved to Bremerton, Washington. There, at the age of 19, she met and married her husband Paul, a career Navy man, traveling many places with him and their children until 1970, when they made Lake Mary their permanent home.
In this home, Jeanne was industrious. Every year, she would put in a big vegetable garden, keeping meticulous record of plantings and harvests. She cooked countless big dinners for family and friends and could play the piano. 'Clair de Lune' was a particular favorite, which she played with great feeling. She was fond of animals, volunteering as a docent at the Central Florida Zoo for a number of years. One thing Jeanne was especially proud of was getting her Skipper's license. She and Paul sailed to Bermuda and back, just the two of them on the open sea in their boat.
Jeanne had a radiant smile, a kind heart and a sincerity that will be missed by everyone who knew her. Gone before are Paul and daughter Linda Jeanne. She is survived by three daughters, all of whom she loved dearly: Paula [Mark] Ludwig, Mary [Ted] Snow, and Lynne [Travis] Cunningham; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
