Joan was born on April 13, 1930 in Portland, Maine to the late Burton and Bernadette Capen. She was a registered nurse. She will be remembered as a loving and outspoken woman who was loving and quick witted.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Capen, and sister, Shirley Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Cunningham; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
