Renee was a life force beyond reality. She loved big and spoke louder. She was my “mama” “sister” friend and confidante. She was always whatever I needed a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen or a lecture about what I’m  doing wrong and I love her and miss her everyday.  I know she is having a drink up at the bar in heaven with  all the good country greats giving them an earful. May she always rest in peace and she will be with me until the end of time. I love you Nae!

My condolences to all the family. I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Renee Sowards. In just a short time, Miss Renee became a true friend to me. As my siblings and I worked through the closing of our parents’ property, Renee stood with us — steady, kind, and advocating for us at every step. Her compassion, even while she was facing her own challenges, is something I will carry with me. I honor her memory with gratitude, even though we never met in person. God bless you, Lady Renee.  I will not forget you were the Assertive Driver and I was your Loyal Finisher. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, on behalf of the Johnson family.

I have so many good memories growing up with Renee on Mackey Pike. We had fun and got in trouble a few times. We had matching green stingray bicycles and we rode the wheels off.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and many friends.  Rest in peace Renee...
