Joyce Steele Sawyers, age 91 of Sanford, FL, passed away March 19, 2017. Mrs. Sawyers was a lifetime resident of Sanford. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Walton Blake Sawyers, and daughter Gayle Burke Sawyers. Joyce is survived by daughter Donna Lee (David) Hobbs, and son Roby B. (Amber) Sawyers. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stephen (Fareesh) Hobbs, Michal (David) Kautzman, Jenna (Sam) Wineka, and Robyn Sawyers; and three great-granchildren, Ameera Hobbs, Niya Hobbs, and Blake Wineka. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 2 at First United Methodist Church of Sanford. Visitation will begin at 1:00 followed by a service at 1:30. Donations in her memory may be made to First United Methodist Church of Sanford.
