As the only grandchild for 9 years, I was always excited when my uncles dated and then got married.
When my Uncle Sam married my Aunt  Judi, 
I was honored to be her flower girl in an enchanting December wedding. 
She was like a beautiful snow princess. 
I have so many beautiful memories of the time she spent with me  in those early years, before my cousins her beloved children, Richard, Cindy and Elizabeth came along. She would teach me about baking, gardening, ride bikes, horses, going to feed the fish and  started a Hope Chest for me. She loved watching the Waltons and eating chocolate. 
I loved her voice, her laughter and her smile. 
She researched the Stevens lineage and was detailed in every project she ever embarked upon.
She and Uncle Sam were incredibly generous when my Mother, Marguerite passed away well before her time. 
Mostly, Aunt Judi was the epitome of a pure and kind soul. She had an immense capacity for patience, compassion and forgiveness.
I could go on and on, but to Richard, Cindy and Lizzy, you know she is in heaven and in joyful praise of her Lord and with you all eternally. She loved you and all her grandchildren with immense pride . 
Until we meet again, Rest well, beloved Aunt. I am so grateful to have had such a rich childhood because of you and your constancy of faith and prayers always.

Dear Cindy, Liz and Rich,
I am so deeply sorry to hear about Aunt Judy. I will always remember spending time with her and all of you when I would come to Allentown for the summer. I remember standing in the kitchen with her just talking about everything and feeling so at ease and comforted. I also remember getting to go and be with the horses and she showed me how to ride.

A happy and cherished memory, we met for the day to attend a lecture and tour on All Saints's Day in pursuit of my and Judi's shared family history. This was in Madison, Morris County, New Jersey.

Mrs. Stevens embodied what it means to be a faithful servant of Christ.  As a kid, and a frequent visitor in her home, she was always warm and welcoming.  It’s this kind of role model that I remembered when it was time to become a parent myself.  I will always be grateful for her love and hospitality (and patience) for us as young people.

Aunt Judy’s love for Christ was evident to me from an early age. I am grateful for her humble disposition and peace-making ways. I so enjoyed time spent in the garden with her in PA.

Cindy and dear family, it is with heavy hearts, that Karen and I do send you our deepest condolences on the devastating loss of your precious momma.
We pray rhat the faithful God who has called her safely Home - into a place of no more pain, no more loss, and no more death - may He surround you with His love and perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.
