

Karen L. Watson of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 69. She was born into a military family on May 24, 1956, at Fort Rucker Army Base in Enterprise, Alabama. She was the oldest of three sisters. The family moved to Florida in 1967 when Karen was 11. Karen grew up in Altamonte Springs and graduated from Lyman High School, in Longwood, Florida.
Karen served in the United States Air Force Reserves for over seven years, from October 1984 through June 1992. She was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, but also served in Georgia, Texas, and South Korea.
Karen worked in retail, purchasing and administrative positions throughout her career and retired at age 67 from AmerisourceBergen, a pharmaceutical distribution company.
Karen loved to travel and enjoyed visiting family wherever they might be, including many states across the U.S., Europe and Central America.
Karen loved bird watching. She had a flair for creativity that blossomed in her arts and crafts projects, beautiful flower arrangements, shadow boxes, pottery and so much more. Since she had a green thumb, she always had thriving plants indoors and out. She loved being outdoors, natural springs, mills and all things nature, especially the splendors of all fall colors.
Karen was a free spirit and very independent yet still cared for the wellbeing of family and friends. And she absolutely loved being involved in family gatherings!
Karen didn’t wear her faith on her sleeve, but she believed in God and that He had a place for her in Heaven.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Alma Watson, her sister Rhonda Cimino, and her spouse Angel Davila.
Karen is survived by her sister Kathryn Koch, brothers-in-law Ed Koch, Leo Cimino, and David Davila, nieces Rachel Cimino and Desiree Zink, and nephews Ryan Cimino and Derek Zink.
