My favorite memory of Karyn and I was driving over to Cedar Ridge and steeling their carpet from inside there entrance and laying it down in front of Madison Central for all to run over prior to Thanksgiving rivalry game!

I can not begin to express how sad I am for all of Karyn’s friends and family. She was a light and helped me so much after my son, Jimmy died. She would call me or text me regularly just to check on how I was doing. I didn’t know her before Jimmy died but he had told me many stories about Karyn. He connected with her so I knew that I would. The Sept after Jimmy died in July, she took time out of her vacation and drove 2 1/2 hours to spend the day with me. We drank Champagne and just laughed. I really needed it and she knew it. I felt like she had been in my life forever. She was an angel when I needed one. I wish that I could call her today to let her know how much those texts and calls meant to me. Much Lub always

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand. An Irish Blessing for the funniest most positive woman

Steve, Max, Zach and Sam,

We were heartbroken to learn of your loss this week and send our best to all of you. We're in disbelief. We'll remember Karyn as the life of the party and an incredibly welcoming, warm, and giving person. Regrettably we had so few times together but her warmth, caring and kinship made it feel as though we'd been friends forever.

Steve, may this photo bring a smile to your face! "I'm feeling Dizzy" - copyright the one and only Karyn Lightweis

God bless all of you,

Dearest Karen, my heart goes out to all of your loved one's, for there are so many, far and near. You shaped our season together at Webster University with your warmth, positive energy, wit, laughter, and smile. Your smile was a constant beam of light. Your playfulness showed us how to love life. You promoted preservation of our collaborative journey's in this season. We will continue to spread your joy, friend, the joy in which you were always so freely sharing with those surrounding you. Thank you for always being you, and teaching us to do the same.

Karyn,

You fiery, bright light! I remeber meeting you at FSU and thinking this woman is so bad$*#! The day took on the next level of fun when you were part of it. I feel so priviledged to have the opportunity to experience some of those great times.
I so appreciate your openess and welcoming arms. You taught me a lot about owning yourself and being a strong woman. You will be seriously missed. Your legacy will shine on and keep growing with the bad$*# humans you and Harry brought to the rest of us! Love and prayers to the Lightweis family

I attended Webster University with Karyn.

I loved when she was in the same classes as I was because she had a great sense of humor and kept everything lively. She was a wonderful person and will be truly missed.

Great family headed by a terrific couple. Certainly Karyn will be missed as an essential part of a great family system. My God be with her as we speak and the entire family as they mourn their loss.
