Kathleen H Neidlinger (Kathie) is survived by her loving husband of many years, Kurt Neidlinger; her daughter Molly Borer of Oviedo and son-in-law Dave Borer; her son Shane Neidlinger of Altamonte Springs and daughter-in-law MacKenzie Neidlinger; and her son Brett Neidlinger of Sanford and his fiancée Denise Cardoza. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Madelyn Borer (6), Aiden Borer (3), Ignacio Neidlinger (3), and Rory Neidlinger (3 months), who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister Maureen Benway of Milton, Massachusetts, and her brother Tom Holland of Port Richey. She was preceded in death by her brother John Holland.
After graduating high school, Kathie began a successful career in the insurance industry, working for John Hancock in Boston before continuing her career in Florida with State Farm and USAA. She was proud of her work and even helped Kurt begin the career he would continue for 38 years at State Farm. In 1989, as she and Kurt began raising their family, Kathie devoted herself to being a homemaker, a role she embraced with heart and purpose.
She volunteered extensively in the school system and later worked as a teacher with elementary and middle school students. Kathie was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, taught CCD at Saint Stephen’s Catholic Church and was an active volunteer with the Winterfest carnival. Her generosity with her time and spirit made a lasting impact on countless children and families.
Kathie was truly one of a kind — full of love, endlessly funny, a wonderful storyteller, and known for her infectious laugh. She loved to travel, plan celebrations, and spoil her grandchildren with thoughtful gifts and unforgettable experiences. Her home was always a place of joy, welcome, and celebration.
Music was part of her love story. Her wedding song with Kurt was “Truly” by Lionel Richie a reflection of the deep bond they shared. True to her fun-loving spirit, Kathie made it known that her favorite song, “Brick House” should be played in her honor — a final reminder of her humor, her spark, and the joy she brought into every room.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Kathie’s legacy lives on in her family, her friendships, and the many lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and boundless love.
