Larry Quigley, resident of Sanford, Florida (previously of Piqua, Ohio) died on June 9, 2026 at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Quigley and mother, Lenore Quigley as well as his brother, James Quigley and his sister, Diane McLeran and brother in-law Nile McLeran. Larry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Quigley and his children Karen Quigley (Keshavamurthy Indireshkumar) and John (Rhonda) Quigley. Larry is also survived by his sister-in-law Noy Quigley and his grandchildren Jacob (Brooke) Quigley and Sangita Das-Quigley.
Larry was born in Des Moines, Iowa and worked in the family business (Quigley Pharmacy) in his early years. Larry went on to graduate with his Electrical Engineering degree at Indiana Institute of Technology where he met the love of his life, Charlotte. Larry loved working with electronics and became head engineer for Lucas Ledex in Vandalia, Ohio as well as ran an electronics repair business in Piqua, Ohio. Larry eventually purchased a division of Ledex and was president and owner of Bramco, which he moved back to Piqua. Larry was a member and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Piqua and joined Lakeside United Methodist Church in Sanford after moving to Florida. In Piqua, Larry was also very active in the Kiwanis Club, helping youth and the community.
Larry had many health issues throughout his life but always maintained a happy disposition and was well loved by family, friends and co-workers. Larry loved to target shoot with friends, attend his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and musical events as well as spend time hunting and fishing. Larry was a Reds fan until he moved to Florida in 2017 where he discovered a winning team in the Tampa Bay Rays. Larry also discovered NFL football and became a huge Tom Brady fan. Larry loved his snacks and thought that a day without three meals and a snickers bar was a day of missed opportunity.
Even beyond his hobbies, Larry’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family; playing cards, talking on the phone and having great meals with his loved ones.
He will be sorely missed.
The Quigley family would like to thank all of the providers that took such good care of Larry over the years including the Advent Health’s Advanced Heart Failure Clinic (Akanksha Agrawal) and the Center for Digestive Health (Henry Levine) who treated Larry like family. We would also like to thank all of our close friends who are in the medical field who took calls and texts at all hours to help Larry at a moment’s notice. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Larry Quigley Kiwanis Memorial Scholarship at Piqua Kiwanis Club or by mail to Kiwanis Club of Piqua, P.O. Box 738, Piqua, OH 45356. https://www.piquakiwanis.org/event.php
