Born at Vandenberg Air Force Base, in California on October 24, 1963. Larry graduated from Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Florida in 1981 and later attended Brevard Community College, now known as Eastern Florida State College. A loving husband, Larry just celebrated his 29th wedding anniversary with Elisa Rohr on December 22, 2023. Sweethearts since high school, Larry and Elisa were blessed with 43 years of togetherness.
His proudest accomplishment was as a devoted father to his two sons; Caleb, who served as a nuclear technician in the Navy on the USS John C. Stennis and now serves as an emergency response technician for data centers; and Josh, a paramedic/firefighter for Volusia County Fire Rescue.
After owning a successful contracting business installing doors and windows for almost 15 years, Larry spent the last 10 years as a specialized OTR Truck Driver for Rands Trucking. His talents as a craftsman were unlimited, but his true passion focused on the restoration of Dodge Dakotas. He was a member of the Dodge Dakota R/T Group, where he met and mentored other auto enthusiasts.
Larry is survived by his wife, Elisa; sons, Caleb, and Joshua; sisters, Pamela Rohr and Patricia Bass; nieces, Alyssa Yost, Rebecca Torrent, and Rachel Marroquin; and nephews, Clayton Yost and Ryan Werle.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771. A Celebration of Life will follow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jax 5th Avenue, 951 Greenwood Blvd. Lake Mary, FL 32746.
