OBITUARY

Linda Lou Miller

February 8, 1943 – November 24, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel & Oaklawn Cemetery

Linda Lou Miller was born in Flint Michigan in 1943 to Kermit and Josie Lee Davidson. The second of two daughters, she grew up with her older sister Barbara debating the relative merits of Elvis Presley vs Pat Boone. In the late 50s the family worked together to build a cabin near Mackinaw City Michigan where they watched the Mackinac Bridge being built.

Linda attended Central Michigan University and married Stephen Miller shortly after graduation. They made their home in Flint with children Eric and Elizabeth arriving not too long afterwards. Linda also managed to find time to earn a Masters in Library Science at the University of Michigan, leading to a rewarding career in high school and university libraries as well as library data management.

In 1977 the family embarked on a new adventure with a move to Atlanta Georgia, which Linda remembered fondly as some of her most fun family years with an active community of neighbors in their suburban Atlanta neighborhood. A return move to Flint in the mid-80s followed by a move to Florida in 1989 and subsequent divorce was a more difficult life chapter, but Linda rebounded with an independent new life; a successful career with the Sunlink project in Florida and a wonderful long-term relationship with her dance partner and travel companion Bill Ognenovich. She was an active cook, dog parent, and grandmother in her later years.

Linda is survived by her son Eric and daughter Elizabeth; daughter in law Kelly and son in law Jason; grandchildren Allison, Caroline, Finn, and Marina; and great-grandchildren Josie and Wesley.
