

LouAnn McNamara (Pierwsza), 74, of Lake Mary, Fla., formerly of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on August 27, 2026. She was born August 16, 1952, in New Kensington, to the late Aloysius (Lou) Pierwsza, and late Lois Pierwsza. She was a graduate of Valley High School, New Kensington, where she was a National Honor Society member, as well as Captain of the Valley Vikings cheerleading squad. She later moved to the Philadelphia area, where she met the love of her life, Thomas McNamara, through her workmate and later, sister in law, Kate. LouAnn and Thomas married in 1989.
LouAnn loved and was loved by her extensive family and friends. She was married to her husband, Thomas McNamara, for 37 years. In the early years of their marriage, LouAnn and Thomas lived in Flourtown, Pennsylvania, then moved to Lake Mary, Florida to pursue new career and life challenges, opportunities, and adventures. LouAnn worked for 23 years as an Administrative Assistant in the Fire Science and Mathematics Departments at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas McNamara, brother, Larry (Priscilla Lamonte} and sister Lynn (Stephen) Kirby, and several loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family suggests donations be made in her memory to your local Hospice organization, or to the Vitas Healthcare organization. The Vitas Hospice team who provided LouAnn’s care were extraordinary in their compassion and support for her and her family.
